Electronic Scoring

What is Electronic Scoring?

Electronic Scoring is the future of scoring TKD Competitions. Using a system developed specially for Vision, we are able to score patterns to local and international standard as well as accurately score sparring rounds while receiving live feedback displayed on each ring.

Electronic Scoring will help us run smoother and more accountable competitions in the future.

What are the benefits?

There are many benefits to using Electronic Scoring, some of which are detailed below:

  • Live scoring can show exactly what points are being scored in real-time alongside the instant effects of Warnings and Fouls.
  • A live timer shows exactly how much time there is left to score a vital point.
  • Exact results are recorded and can be used for any future seeding system.
  • Umpires are held to account for their scoring and while they cannot be identified by the public (scores are randomised on the display), they will be able to learn from feedback given by the Jury President.

What does the display tell me?

The Patterns display on each ring will show:

  • The current division
  • The current competitors and who is red or blue
  • The pattern (Optional or the name of the designated pattern)
  • Up Next – who will be next up and whether they will be red or blue
  • The final decision

The Sparring display on each ring will show:
